Alex Boyar, principal of [AB] Urban Development LLC, began his career as a Certified Public Accountant and began in real estate in 1989. He later worked as vice president of Landmark Builders, which developed two large townhome communities in Stafford, Va. Boyar also led the renovation of the 300-room Sheraton Hotel in Richmond, Va. More recently, Boyar has developed new homes in upper Northwest, has renovated houses throughout the city, and is building a loft apartment building in the 14th and U St. neighborhood and a four-home community in the Palisades overlooking the Potomac River.
